Since the first pairs dropped in mid 2011, Nike Sportswear has treated their entire History of Air running lineage as well as basketball cornerstones Air Force 1 and Dunk to the Hyperfuse treatment. Conspicuous by its absence in that capsule was the original Swoosh basketball sneaker, a design of which we’re reminded upon seeing the new Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Pro Fusion Mid. In truth closer to the Pro Leather or Chuck Taylor-descendant Star Player than the classic All Star, the CTAS Pro Fusion reads like a Blazer High Hyperfuse thanks to the featherweight, super-breathable welded upper and the layered effects common to Fuse builds.
